Hello from Windsor, NH!
Cat here, just putting the finishing touches on our trips plans and packing all our bits and pieces to get ready for our amazing Puerto Rican adventure! Tony and I are both really excited to meet everyone and get started on what will be an unforgettable three and a half weeks!
We have a few things to remind everyone about before we see you all at the airport:
• Cat will be in front of the AA check-in counters at JFK from 10am onwards, and needs everyone to be there by 11 at the latest.
• Remember: no ipods, no cell phones. Make a mix cd of appropriate music to share for van rides.
• Pack light! If you couldn’t carry everything up five flights of stairs by yourself, you have too much!!
• Do you have a homestay gift yet? Something between $10 and $20 which represents your home is best…a tshirt, hat, photo frame, local art…
• You will need long pants for at least one of our service days for sun protection – if you have something lighter than jeans, that would be a great idea!
• Everyone should have a recipe by now – something that can be cooked on a stove top for a group. We will be shopping together for food, and are excited to try lots of different things. Please make sure you have an idea of quantities!
• Remember you can only have one checked bag; and you should bring $20 for baggage fees.
If you have not spoken to one of us yet, please call camp: 1.603.478.3166. On the weekend you will need to go to either extension 109 or 107 (Angus or Neesa) as the phones are automatically answered by a machine. This is important – we really do need to make sure we make contact with you all before we leave!
Any questions or last minute concerns feel free to get in touch – otherwise we’ll see you between 10 and 11am at JFK!
